Poetry by Joseph Grant

Metier de Bukowski

there is nothing
to take the place
of sobriety
unless it’s drunkeness
pure & simple
then you know
you’ve got a problem
taking turns
from the bottle
making your mind
turn to toast
watching the
sidewalk spin
and the funniest
thing
is
not knowing when
to give up the ghost.
